It allows GNU Grub to boot from a Windows directory. The setup program installs GNU Grub version 2.02 to an NTFS partition. A Windows GUI application is then used to customize the Grub boot menu, themes, UEFI boot order, scripts etc. All GNU Grub scripts and commands are supported for both UEFI and legacy systems. Installing Grub4dos Code to The MBR. To install grub4dos to MBR via Windows XP/2000 - download grubinst/grubutil package (see here). Grubinst.exe is a command line tool however a Graphic User Interface (GUI) is included in the download.
